Add a little excitement to the classroom with this stamp kit. Used kits can be purchased at a reduced price at Amazon as well as Barnes & Noble. Groups of two or three can send messages to other groups. I converted this package over to a Flash program with the help of Stephen Hustedde at South Mountain Community College.

Cartoon Hieroglyphs
At some point the Egyptians let their feelings and fears become part of the hieroglyphs. While making the glyphs of plants, animals, and other real things, the scribes let a little magic become part of the writing. To keep the birds from flying away, the scribes would remove their feet, as though that would keep them in place.
Other animals were killed so they would not harm the dead person in the afterlife. This is what they did to the cobra and horned viper.
